Alhaji Mohammed Kashim Shettima is Nigeria’s nominal vice president. He is a pair of Retrogressive Muslim tickets – Muslims who were awarded the Presidential of Nigeria two years ago, last March. This will be the material to explain the use of my ‘nominal’ to the current vice president. In this context, I really intend to use daily words. Nominal here means that Shettima as a small vice president and is not important in the number and title. He is a token and symbol, not substantial or significant in the scheme of things in the Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu regime and part of the Joruba nation. Shettima spoke well in the context of low bar specified to speak in public in our country. This bar is very low and embarrassing. He is said to be smart and maybe a public intellectual. He is a bank executive in his previous incarnation and later became the governor of two terms of the state of Borno.
He has several inheritance for his credit. Many of them don’t glorify. And one of his inheritance was that he was the governor who sat when Boko was Haram, a cruel and killing Islamist group, driving thousands of kilometers to Chibok in the heart of Borno State, kidnapped about 300 female students who were mostly Christians, and disappeared into thin air. Shettima is alleged to have been warned to move students who prepare the West African School Certificate Examination (WASCE) following intelligence reports on rebel activities. He ignored the intelligence and the girls were picked. This was in April 2014, eleven years ago. Nearly 100 girls stolen have not been calculated after a decade and one year. On the safety score of life, Shettima failed as governor, and a sentence of his failure to secure his people while he became governor would promote him to the position of the vice president of the country. Indeed, one of the credentials he met while campaigning for the vice president’s tickets was that he was strengthened by the battle because he had been in the war theater for years. We will return to this soon.
He was not extraordinary as a substitute for the presidential candidate at the time, Alhaji Tinubu, in running until the election of 2023. But he stands out like a sick thumb on at least three opportunities. Maybe four. One of the opportunities like that is through his words spoken when he denounced the ruling vice president, Yemi Osinbajo, who is a law professor. He said that Osinbajo would be more successful as an ice cream seller than trying to become Nigeria’s president. Another extraordinary opportunity was when he represented Tinubu, his partner, during the Annual Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) before the election. Inelegance fashion is striking and confusing. Cracked ribs. He interrupted cartoon caricature pictures with incorrect color trousers, tieless shirts, withered jackets, and a pair of coaches. He may not be given a properly briefing that lawyers are generally conservative in their clothing code. But it must be given that a man assumed by Shettima must know that. If he forgot the requirements for handling the opportunity should know better. They don’t or don’t care. Well, Shettima had a soulmate in an inappropriate list on Saturday when the President of the United States, Donald Trump, appeared at the funeral of Pope Francis in Rome in a blue suit that was contrary to the black clothing code worn by other world leaders on that occasion.
The third event was in his public presentation to Nigeria as a vice presidential candidate. He also cut off a sad picture in the midst of emergency bishops’ and ‘priests’ made last night by all the progress of the congress (APC) to convince skeptical citizens, especially Christians, that Muslims (some refer to him as a Mumu ticket) are not preldae of something more evil for the country with a partner, managed by SO issued. The APC bishops were handed over to their regalians in the area where the event, and their cash prizes were paid immediately after the ceremony, also outside the opening site. The perpetrators were arrested in front of the camera regardless of the best efforts of the perpetrators and scammers for journalists and blindside cameraman. The possibility is that many APC bishops were not born when the Afrobeat legend that was unarmed, Fela Anamikapo-Kuti, sang “Na Cloth Na Clot Na Tailor Dey Am’s uniform” Provocative in 1973 or surrounding areas. I believe the album is titled Alagbon Close, a famous government security complex in the heart of Lagos Island. If only Fela was still alive to witness the despair and play in 2023, 50 years after the track was released. And a search to capture political power after hook or criminal.

While we were there Shettima also in 2023 promised to lead the war against insecurity in the country from the front if their tickets were awarded the presidency. He said he had been baked in the furnace and oven against the rebellion for many years as the governor of the state of Borno, and that there was nothing more suitable and equipped for the work. He said his couple or principal was an native economist who would be burdened to revive the national economy that foundered by their party, APC and Tinubu men, Buhari. When Shettima took the role of the head of the security arm, he did not seem to take into account the fact that the Vice President was not the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces or was responsible for national security institutions and architecture. Two years later, next month, no role was assigned to be delivered. If the truth is told, Nigeria’s security situation almost really collapsed. Nigeria has become a field of murder, a type that we have not yet witnessed in 65 years since independence. Apart from the established genocide carried out by Nigerian troops against IgBO during the Civil War, including the massacre of innocent Asaba Civilians in 1967, there was no so much blood spilled in this country that appeared to be ignored. And the man, Shettima, who said he would lead the war against rebels, bandits and Islamic terrorists had become ghosts. He looked like a comet from space occasionally like last week when he led the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting. The tool is a conversation store where there are no records discussed. It was bad in the era of the Democratic Party (PDP), deteriorating under APC Muhammadu Buhari, and then became fully unfit for purposes in a regime that still existed from the single administrator Nigeria Tinubu.
Tinubu, a shettima man and other cheers guides, have been sold as economic magicians, since then have been demonicated as emperor without clothing. He has changed Nigeria’s bad economic situation into a nightmare. He erased what is called gasoline subsidies and ‘deregulating’ naira, and leaves the economy in Tailspin. What is called economic deregulation should free resources but the regime immediately starts aggressive loans from domestic and international money and bond markets. Tinubu and his accomplices have behaved in a way that advised them and some spectators that borrowing would soon come out of fashion. Even some lending institutions have begun to cry that harshness is not in the DNA of the Tinubu ruler ribbon. A few weeks ago, Tinubu and his doctor spinned trying to light Nigerian gas by saying that the country’s past leaders without doubting the legacy of the future generation of Nigeria. And the solution to the problem is to borrow from our children and children, and leave the future generations of Nigeria in certain debt peonages.
It’s a shame that this country has spent about the new N20 billion to complete the vice president’s house for ghost workers. That’s who shettima. One day he tried hard to ignore the media report that he was closed from the president’s villa. Who cares? The important thing is that ghosts are not allowed to roam, and freely. Shettima situation was sad. He is a truly nominal vice president who is beyond the vortex power. He is an orphan. He Kanuri. Kanuri is said to be the creator of Boko Haram. He is not trusted. He is not part of Tinubu’s kitchen cabinet. He is a paria who explains why regardless of the frequent foreign journey of President Tinubu, he was never allowed to act as a president. Shettima was even ignored in a ceremony that was not dangerous to inaugurate a team that was not striking in the population census when the President, as usual, went in France, and then London was new. But we are sure that Shettima is waiting for his time, playing Hering, the patient bird. Marabouts may have convinced him that the scenario at Ondo State about two years ago might not have played on a larger scale. Before the Ondo happened in Abuja. And that is widely expected to occur again in Abuja for the second time during the past regime. It failed to materialize. Mahdi left the president who looked younger. A suggestive newspaper advertisement taken by the former Governor of the State Ekiti at the beginning of the life of the ancient regime was in vain. If the guarantee of Marabouts Shettima fails, the hope is that the vice president of the ghost will not be in a ticket for the 2027 Presidential Contest. The ghost will be buried. The joke would not be a former vice president who said Shettima would be more useful as an ice cream seller.
