The OMI community in the area of the western local government of Yagba in the state of Kogi has appealed to the management of the apostolic church of Nigeria to urgently transfer one of its shepherds stationed to the OMI assembly, Ja Olawuyi, aside insensitive and rebellious on its part.

According to the community “the information collected so far reveal that the said shepherd, the shepherd Ja Olawuyi, was at the dagger designed with some members of his church and his homi community”

This was contained in a letter addressed to the office of the “Superintendent of the Egbe area,

The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Egbe Area Lawna Territory, Egbe, Yagba West LGA,

Kogi State ”dated February 17, 2025 and signed by a Bolarin Prince on Friday Ogungbemi, national vice president, Descents Omi Association on behalf of the National President, the letter entitled,

“Request that the minister of the Apostolic Church Nigeria, the pastor of the Omi assembly Ja Olawuyi, must be transferred by the community with immediate effect” was made available to our correspondent.

“Some of the reasons provided that made this call necessary are the following, that the activities of the shepherd Ja Olawuyi have hindered united evangelism within our community since his actions and inhabitants have continually polarized the Christian body, the Christian association of Nigeria (Can) in the community.

“It is equally known that the prominent members of the Tacn Omi assembly have left the church for other churches.

“It has been generally observed that the face of the shepherd Ja Olawuyi against the members of Tatcn, Omi assembly, Body Christian and Omi Community is becoming highly unruly, worrying and inconvenient of a saddle man with the responsibilities of bringing people back to Christ.

“Therefore, the community humbly requests that the shepherd Ja Olawuyi is transferred by the OMI community with immediate effect.

“It has also been generally observed that the management TacS undermined the authority of the OMI community and its leadership. The information also reveal that the shepherd Olawuyi does not refer to the indigenous of the community that are clerics and that are very respected by the community.

“A transversal section of the community seems to be very disappointed and disgusted by the fact that the Church is not sensitive to some of the issues raised in the previous letter written to the leadership of the Church.

“Our discoveries also show a good number of members of his church no longer want him in the Church. Many members are afraid of him because they have said they were diabolical and continually boasts his ability to damn the consequences of his actions in front of the members of the Church.

“The copies of the previous letter were sent to the Superintendent Area of Egbe and we are also made available to the Division Police Old ODO-ERD, the director of State Security Director, the Commander Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps in the area of the Western local government of Yagba.

“The activities of this said shepherd are enm and embarrassing for the Christian body in the community.

“The reputation and honor of the shepherd Ja Olawuyi went beyond imagination and repair and is inconvenient of man’s saddles with evangelical responsibility.

“The community had previously sent delegations to the superintendent area in the shepherd of the Egbe David A. Abubakar that attractive and giving convincing reasons for which it is very important that the church obtains the pastor Olawuyi transferred by the OMI community to save the Church and the Christian body from a further embarrassment.

“The management of the Apostolic Church of Nigeria should see this request as a question of need that should have the utmost attention and action.
