Army Captain, the army died as an army thwarting the Boko Haram attack on Borno

A Nigerian army captain and a soldier lost his life in the early days of Wednesday during a fierce meeting with Boko Haram terrorists in Izge, an agricultural community in the Gwoza regional government in Borno.

Emir of Gwoza, Mohammed Shehu Timta, confirmed the tragic development in an interview with Channels Television, describing the attack as a midnight invasion that occurred around 1:00 am

“My people in the Izge community are under the invasion of Boko Haram today around 1 am. Unfortunately, a captain and a soldier paid the highest price,” the king said.

According to Emir, terrorists invaded the village, fired sporadically, but met with strong resistance from a joint troop consisting of the Nigerian military, local hunters, criminals, and members of the Civil Civil Task Force (CJTF). Their coordinated efforts cause the success of the attackers’ rejection.

“But in a brave and rapid reaction from the military, people from the Civil Civil Joint Task Force, Local Hunters, Guards and Communities were tough, the attack was rejected by the murder of three terrorists,” he added.

Security forces restore important goods from terrorists, including motorbikes, bicycles, operational vehicles, and sophisticated rifles.

“Because people are still trailing terrorists, more than 10 bikes, motorbikes, one -size military vehicles and one sophisticated rifle with ammunition found from terrorists,” said the emir.

He conveyed a sincere praise to all operations and security residents who stood firm during the attack. “Allow me to praise our military forces, other security agents, CJTF people, local hunters and our tough guards and our tough people for their courage, because when I speak, many people are still in the bushes to comb the existence of a fled terrorist.”

“I want to be equal to calling on the federal government to equip our security forces with war/technology weapons to defeat the remnants of Boko Haram members who terrorize our community almost every day,” he said.

He further appealed to the federal government to take quick and decisive action to prevent future attacks, especially when residents prepare for an important agricultural season.
