Sevilla beats Valencia to return to winning ways

Juan Iglesias scored a late header to give Sevilla a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Valencia at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán in Friday’s La Liga clash.

Nigerian international Chidera Ejuke was involved in the match when he came on in the 63rd minute in his fifth league appearance this season.

Before the clash against Valencia, which was without the injured Umar Sadiq, Sevilla had lost one and drawn one of its last two games.

After an intense fight, the only goal came in the 81st minute when Giorgi Kochorashvili took a free kick from a wide position and Iglesias crossed his marker and headed firmly past Stole Dimitrievski.

The victory means Sevilla moves to 10 points from five games (three wins, one draw, one loss) and currently sits third in the league standings.

As for Valencia, their problems at the beginning of the season continue and they hope to recover from the setback against Sevilla.
