Internal forces that sabotage Atiku’s quiet efforts to stabilize the PDP – Aide

In the meantime, the former vice -president Atiku Abubakar has expressed reservations to face problems to reconcile and reconstruct the party before the 2027 elections.

The Atiku media helper, Paul Ibe, accused some members of the PDP of working against his efforts, making it more difficult for the party to be strong against the APC.

In a chat with Vanguard, IBE said that Atiku focused on the formation of a strong coalition that could challenge the APC, which has blamed for causing pain, violence, hunger and difficulty in the country.

However, he said that some people in the PDP were working with the APC to weaken the party from the inside and prevent him from doing stronger.

Ibe said that some famous people who grew politically through the PDP were working against the same party, presumably in line with the APC.

He said: “Atiku made many efforts to build the party, but he cannot do it alone. The party has to work together and be disciplined. When people sabotage his work and try to deliver the party to the APC, the bankruptcy is not his but theirs.”

On those who say that Atiku should not run in 2027, Ibe said: “Everyone has the right to his opinion. If they believe he should not run, they can support someone else. He lets them highlight their candidate and work for that person. This is what democracy is; may not always be perfect, but gives people the right to choose.”

He also criticized the government led by the APC for not having solved important problems such as insecurity, hunger and bad state of the economy.

“In April, the president was having fun in France, a country built by the hard work of his people, while the Nigerians were killed at home. A good leader would have finished the trip and returned home to manage the crisis. But some people do not seem to worry,” Ibe said.

He stressed that if Atiku would work or not in 2027 it shouldn’t be the main objective right now. The biggest problem, he said, is the poor leadership of the APC government.

While urges the Nigerians to stop focusing on the future of Atiku, he commissioned the Nigerians to consider the current government responsible for the country’s problems. [Vanguard]
