EFCC arrested 120 alleged internet fraudsters in Lagos

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has arrested 120 alleged internet fraudsters in Lagos.

The head of the media and advocacy of the commission, Dele Oyewale, revealed this in a statement on Monday in Abuja.

He said the suspect consisting of 95 men and 25 women was arrested on Monday at various locations in Lagos.

He added that the operation followed credible intelligence and overall supervision of the alleged involvement of suspects in fraud related to the internet.

“Items that are restored during coordinated operations include 26 exotic cars and expensive jewelry, smartphones, laptops, and several burdensome documents.

“The suspects are experiencing further investigation.

“The suspects will be charged in court at the end of the investigation,” said the spokesman.
