Member of the Democratic Party Reconciliation and Strategy Committee (PDP), led by the former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, visited the Governor of Enugu State, Peter Mbah, over the party crisis on Friday.
Other committee members are former Governor of Bayelsa State, Serake Dickson and his Gombe State partner, Ibrahim and Kwambo.
Saraki, who spoke to reporters about the results of the meeting, said that it was to ensure that the meeting of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Party and the National Convention was free of revenge.
He said: “We are a new member of the PDP Reconciliation and Strategy Committee, which was founded by the PDP Governor Forum.
“Our task is to try to ensure that our upcoming national executive council meeting and also the possibility of free and smooth conventions.
“In line with that, we are here in the state of Enugu to consult with all our party leaders, and Governor Peter Mbah is the leader of the Southeast PDP.

“This is the first state that we go to, because we appreciate the importance of southeast in the PDP family.”
Former Governor of the State Kwara said that Southeast had played an important role in the popularity and strength of PDP.
“As a recognition of that, we are here to consult with Mbah and first -first praise him about the leadership role he has played in the party.
“We praise what he is doing in the state of Enugu, which is a reflection of what happens when you have a PDP government.
“This is to ensure that the NEC meeting and the national convention are free, subtle, peaceful and put the foundation for the PDP that we all expect.
“So we have a very good and useful discussion, and we will go with some suggestions we have, and hopefully do it.
“From what we have seen today, there is nothing that cannot be overcome in the challenges ahead, given our enthusiasm and commitment, especially our leaders,” he added.
The Southeast Zone of PDP on May 14, threatened to dispose of the party if the region was rejected by the position of the National Secretary.
