The Anambra State Police Command has invited a publisher, Mr. Harrison Gwamnishu, to clarify the reports of missing people in the state.
A spokesman for the order, Tochukwu Ikenga, revealed this in a statement issued on Saturday at AWKA.
Ikenga said Gwamnishu previously published a story that accused five people missing when trying to secure hotel accommodation in the state.
He, however, noted that the order had not received formal complaints or there were people who advanced to confirm the incident.
“As a result, the order is concerned with the truth of the report, which pushed the invitation to Gwamnishu for further clarification,” he said.

The spokesman added that the order had issued a statement on Friday and asked relatives of the alleged victims to advance if the report was original.
He noted that Gwamnishu had been involved with the police on the Facebook page and commented: “Thank you. They are strangers, and their families are on the way east.
“They will report today so that your office can help.”
He, however, said involvement, efforts to make Gwamnishu produce relatives of the victims unsuccessful.
“This annoying news has made some of our followers question the effectiveness of the police and other security agents, regardless of the relative peace and improvement of safety that is currently experienced in the state,” said Ikenga.
