Speaking previously in his office while receiving the team of experts, Dikko noticed that the commission had received a directive from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to relaunch and update the sports facilities of Nigeria by urgency.

“Our vision is to ensure that all our sports facilities are functional. We are implementing a sustainable maintenance structure and developing sports programs that will make the structures useful and generating from revenue,” he said.

Mallam Dikko also underlined the constant support of the president and the commitment to provide the necessary funding and incentives to revitalize national sports infrastructures.

“In line with our renewed vision to restore, refocal and relaunch sports in Nigeria, we are involving experts from Europe to evaluate and update our tone and other key components,” he said.

He revealed that the collaboration with Thompson Broadcast was a direct result of his work visit to Paris in April, which included meetings with NTA officials, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FCCN) and Voice of Nigeria (Von).

“The visit to France has allowed us to engage directly with the producers and original suppliers of the stadium transmission equipment, opening the way to full rehabilitation and summary,” he explained.

Speaking also during the tour, Senator Ned Nwoko praised the leadership of the Commission for his proactive and strategic efforts.

“The president and his team are taking great strides to regenerate the infrastructure of the stadium. The foundation is strong and the original vision was excellent. What the Commission needs now is adequate funding and effective management,” he said.

Senator Nwoko underlined the importance of allocating the right budget to ensure correct implementation of the commission plans.
