“I’m happy to go back” – Ahmed Musa

The end of Super Eagles, Ahmed Musa, says he is excited about return to action with the national team.

Speaking from the team’s training base in the United Kingdom, the 31 -year -old striker, who appeared for the last time for Nigeria in 2023, said that being called again is always an honor.

“I’m always happy every time I receive a call, so for me I am very happy to return. It has been a long time, but I don’t think there is any difference.”

“We will wait and see the day of the game to see what will happen.”

Praise for players at home

Musa, who has won more than 100 caps and has the record of the majority of a Nigerian World Cup, praised the inclusion of NPFL players, pointing out how it reflects the growing interest of the coach in local talent.

“You can see that many teams at home are expressing the team.”

“The coach, I think he saw many games in the Nigeria League, so I feel very happy for them.”

“So let’s see what can happen in the game.”

“Keep supporting us” – Muse attracts fans

After the poor form of Nigeria, including the failure to win any of its first four qualifiers of the FIFA 2026 World Cup, Musa attracted fans for continuous patience and support.

“We know that many Nigerians would say that they are very disappointed with the super eagles, but I will always ask them to continue supporting us because that is what we need at this time.”

“Your support will have a great impact for us.”

Nigeria will face Ghana in the first game of the tournament before facing Jamaica or Trinidad and Tobago, such as chief coach Eric Chelle and his squad rebuild towards the next World Cup qualifiers and AFCon 2025 in Morocco.
