The police on Friday charged a Michael Jeremiah at the Iyaganku Magistrates Court in Ibadan, Oyo State, for allegedly stealing an iron chain worth the N200,000.
Jeremiah was charged for stealing, which he claimed to be innocent.
Prosecutor, Insp. Olarekan Adegbite, told the court that the defendant committed a violation on May 25, in the Odo-Lekere area in Ibadan.

He accused that the defendant stealed the iron chain belonging to Mr. Peter Alfred and therefore committed violations that were contrary to Section 390 (9) of the Criminal Law of the State of Oyo, 2000.
Judge, Ny. Kausarat Ayofe, provides guarantees to the defendant in the number of N50,000 with one guarantor in the same amount.
He postponed this case until July 15 for hearing.
