Judge Joel Agya from the Taraba State High Court, Jalkngo, on Thursday, rejected a lawsuit that challenged the Amendment to the Amendment to the State Government, 2023.
Agya, the Chairperson of the State Judge, submitted the decision in the lawsuit No. TRSJ/45/2024 proposed by one Bilyaminu Maihance on April 19, 2024.
He said the State Council Council had the power to change the laws that guided local government administration.
The judge shows that part 108 (1) The 2022 Election Law is not ambiguous about which legislative level must regulate the implementation of local government elections, the executive term of the local government, and the legislature and its amendment.

According to him, part 108 (1) of the 2022 Election law has clearly distinguished between the Regional Government Council and the Regional Council.
He added that part 108 (1) of the Amendment to the 2022 Election Law had also registered the area of the area to include Abaji, Abuja Municipal, Bwari, Gwagwalda, Kuje, and Kwali.
The chairman of the judge remembered that the origin of the origin submitted by Maihanci asked the court to state that parts of 15 and 38 (2) Laws of the Amendment to the Regional Government of the State of Taraba 2023 were not consistent with the provisions of the 108 (1) and 150 Election Laws 2023.
