Sheffield United has confirmed the signature of the Nigerian striker, Ehije Ukaki, on the Bulgarian side Botev Plovdiv in a three -year agreement.
The end of 20 years arrives at Bramall Lane after a decent season in Bulgaria, where he made 37 appearances and scored seven goals in all competitions for Plovdiv Botev during the 2024/25 campaign.
Ukaki also appeared both in the UEFA Europa League and in the qualifiers of the UEFA Conference League.
Speaking on the official website of the club, the manager of Sheffield United, Chris Wilder, expressed his emotion for the incorporation of Ukaki into the team.
“Ehije is a player who has been identified through our data -based strategy and is someone we hope to develop,” Wilder said.
“It is an emerging talent, still only 20, who has enjoyed some experience in European football at the beginning of his career, so there is a basis for working.”
Ukaki becomes the second Nigerian player to join the Botev Plovdiv Botev this year, after the arrival of his young Christian Nwachukwu in February.
