Edo Gov, Okpebholo, said the Mandate of Divine Fuel War Against Cult

The Governor of the State Edo, Monday, Okpebholo, has stated that his emergence as a leader of the country was divine regulated, especially given the ongoing campaign against violence related to cult and social riots in the state.

Speaking during the special thanksgiving mass held at the Catholic Church of St. Paul in the expression on Sunday, Governor of Okpebholo said he was sure he was chosen by God specifically to face the scourge of the cult in Edo. Mass, which doubled as a celebration of Father’s Day and the second warning of the speaker of the Edo State Assembly, thanks to Agbebaku, uniting government officials, priests, and members of the community.

“If it’s about muscle and physical strength, I don’t think I will be the one who leads this fight,” the Governor told the congregation. “But God sent me. That’s why I’m here to take this responsibility and get rid of our cult.”

Okpebholo’s comments came in the midst of increasing concerns about increasing violence related to cult in all parts of Edo, a problem that had claimed a lot of life and damaged the safety of the public. The Governor reiterated his commitment to overcome this challenge, calling for residents to support the efforts of his government.

Reflecting on the importance of Father’s Day, the Governor of Okpebholo also draws a relationship between the role of the father and the demands of leadership, emphasizing the need for compassion, courage, and responsibility.

“It takes courage to be a father,” he said. “It takes empathy and love. I encourage all fathers to continue to maintain and support their children because they are a valuable gift of God.”

In his remarks, blessing the speaker AGBAKU asserted the dedication of the House of Assembly for the productive and united government.

“We want to build synergy with the executive to advance Edo. Our goal is to ensure our people enjoy the best governance in Nigeria,” said the speaker.
