Elephants Kill British Women and New Zealand in Walking Safari in Zambia | World News

A British woman and another from New Zealand have been killed by an elephant during Safari walking in Zambia.

The animal was injured by a shot when the guide tried to stop it but the two victims died at the scene.

The police said the animal was with his calves and ran to the Women’s National Park in South Luangwa. They were reportedly attacked from behind.

Local authorities named the British as Easton Janet Taylor, 68, and other women as Alison Jean Taylor, 67.

A spokesman for foreign office said: “We support the family of a dead British woman Zambia and related to local authority. “

Female elephants can respond aggressively if they think there is a threat when they are with their children.
