President Bola Ahmed Tinubu expressed sadness for the death of Ibadanland’s Olubadan, his imperial majesty Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, who disappeared at the age of 90.

The president was condemned with the royal family, the government and the people of the state of Oyo, as well as the whole Ibadanland, on the loss of a traditional venerated sovereign, a statesman and a symbol of peace, wisdom and continuity.

President Tinubu cried Olubadan and celebrated his extraordinary life life life to his people, the state and the nation.

The president Tinubu described the late monarch as a man of peace, former military official and highly skilled real father, the former military officer and the royal father whose life embodies the highest ideals of leadership, learning and service.

“Oba Owolabi Olakulehin was not only a custodian of the rich history and culture of Ibadan, but also a man of intellect and principle whose contributions extended beyond the building in education, governance, military and national development. His disappearance is a significant loss for Ibadanland and the nation.

“Just last week, I received an invitation from the deceased Olubadan to his 90th birthday and to the celebrations for the anniversary of the first coronation. Incredibly, his death came days before the anniversary. He will be remembered for having supported the honor and prestige of his highly recovery stool,” said the president.

President Tinubu praised the legacy of Oba Olakulehin as one who filled tradition and modernity, adding that his wisdom and moral authority served as a stabilizing force in Ibadanland and in the wider Yoruba nation.

The president prays for the peaceful rest of the soul of the monarch and urges the people of Ibadan to take comfort in his life and the values ​​he embodied.
