The Governor of the State of Ogun and the President of the Southern Governors’ Forum (SGF), Prince Dapo Inhabitun, described the validation of the Supreme Court of the Governor of the Edo Edo Okpebhale of the Governorate Okpebhale as a well -deserved victory.

Inhabitun, who declared him in a statement released on behalf of the Abeokuta Forum, in the state of Ogun, on Thursday, said that the verdict had placed any insinuation that the victory of Okpebholo, who won on September 21, 2024, elections of the governor with 291,667 votes, defeating his closest challenge, like Garner, who weals it, which Guannagage, Guansagathe, who won the Governors, the Governor’s elections, was a stroke of luck.
He said that with the verdict of the Apex court, the governor of the Edo State now has the opportunity to pay full attention to the realization of the agenda for which the Edo electorate gave him an overwhelming mandate, without political distractions.
He said: “On behalf of my brothers in the Southern Governors’ Forum (SGF), I welcome the verdict of the Supreme Court today, Thursday, affirming what the people of the Edo State and the Nigerians have always known for the following four years.
“The verdict shows that, as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INC) and previously validated by the Court of Electoral Petitions and the Court of Appeal, the legitimacy of the mandate of the governor Okpebholo cannot be questioned.
“Without a doubt, this victory is great news for democracy in Nigeria, for the people of the Edo state, for our great party, the all progressive congress and for the good government and the development of our dear country.
“Democracy can be imperfect, but represents the best form of government available to us as people, and there is no doubt that this victory further consolidates and strengthens it in Nigeria.
“Significantly, the victory represents the arrival of good things for the great people of the state of Edo and Nigeria as a whole.
“I have no doubts in the mind that people’s expectations will be fully accepted by the pro-personal, focused and the dynamic government of my dear brother, governor on Monday Okpebhale.”
