The government canoe investigated the deaths of 2 students in tertiary institutions

The Kano state government has ordered a full scale investigation on the death of two students in the Government Dormitory High School, Bichi.

The students, identified as Hamza Idris-Tofawa and Umar Yusuf-Dungurawa, died after an attack by their colleagues.

According to reports, students who died were allegedly punished by senior students for violating schools.

Commissioner of State Education, Ali Haruna Makoda, in a statement issued on Wednesday by a permanent secretary at the Ministry, Bashir Baffa, ordered a direct and transparent investigation of the incident.

He said the government would ensure that justice was served in this matter.

“This is a unfortunate and tragic incident. The state government of Kano is committed to conducting a comprehensive, just and transparent investigation to reveal the truth and ensure justice for all involved,” he said.
