“Produce for Lagos” initiative model for national security, Resilience – CD

The head of the defense staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa, praised the government of the Lagos State for the launch of the “Production for Lagos” program and the 500 billion acquisition guarantee fund, describing it as a “visionary initiative that fills the critical link between food safety and national stability”.

This was contained in a declaration of Tuesday Director, Defense Information Brig.-Gen. Tukur Gusau.

Speaking at the official presentation of the program, the CDs expressed admiration for the courageous collaboration between the State of Lagos, the private sector and the Lagos Food Systems Infrastructure Company (Lafsince), noting that the initiative arrives in a crucial moment when Nigeria has urgent need for resistant and sustainable strategies to improve food safety.

General Musa recognized the strategic alignment of the initiative with the Roadmap of the agricultural and food system of the Lagos state of 2021, applauding the approach based on state data to strengthen the chains of agricultural value.

He underlined that food safety remains one of the most effective and non -Kinetic tools to prevent insecurity, poverty and unemployment throughout the nation.

It also observed that vehicles for special purposes (SPV) such as Lafsinco, Ekolog and the Lagos Bulk Trading Company are establishing a replicable framework that not only increases production and food logistics, but also safeguard the livelihoods throughout the country.

The CDS also praised the constant excellence in governance shown by the state of Lagos, highlighting its trajectory of economic growth, infrastructure steps and strategic urban planning as reference parameters in subnational leadership.

He praised the governor Babajide Sanwo-El Olusola for supporting and expanding the legacy of innovation and vision thrown by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

While expressing gratitude for the invitation to participate in the launch, General Musa reiterated the commitment of the armed forces of Nigeria to support non -Kinetic strategies that promote peace and stability.

He also extended the appreciation to President Tinubu, for his continuous support for the nation’s security architecture.
