FG releases the results for the common entry of 2025

The Federal Government has released the results for the National Common Entrex Examination (Ncee) of 2025 for admission to the Junior secondary school (JSS 1) in the 80 college of federal unity of the country (Fucs).

He also released the results of the separate admission exam in the Federal Government Academy (FGA), Suleja.

Speaking at a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday, the Minister of State for Education, Prof. Suwaiba Ahmad, said that it was “a moment of realization and progress for basic education in Nigeria”.

The examination, conducted by the National Examinations Council (NECO) on June 14, recorded 64,578 registered candidates, with 61,290 seated and 3,288 absent.

“From the maximum obtainable score of 210, 13 candidates obtained the highest score of 202, while 27 candidates obtained the lowest score of 1,” said Ahmad.

He added: “This year, an unprecedented number of 52 candidates (two candidates for Lagos and 50 rivers candidates) were involved in examination negligence”.

The FGA Suleja examination noted that 3,421 candidates were recorded, 3,141 Saturdays and 280 were absent, with the highest score of 194 and the lowest, one.

Ahmad reiterated that the admission criteria remain 60 % merit, 30 % of the equality of states and 10 % of need.

He directed the Senior secondary education department to ensure that all admissions have concluded promptly and in line with the guidelines.

“It is a common awareness that our universities of federal units have become the first port of call for most parents in the country.

“I want to ensure to all Nigerian parents that the government will continue to do its best to improve infrastructure development, nutrition and quality of teachers for effective teaching and learning in our colleges,” he said.

The event also characterized the formal presentation of the results to the Minister of Chancellor of Neco, Prof. Ibrahim Wushishi. (Nan)
