Ambitious Kun Khalifat FC is prepared for NPFL’s historic debut against Rangers

As the regressive account begins for the start of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Season, the newly promoted Kun Khalifat FC is full of confidence ahead of his debut on the upper flight against Enugu Rangers on August 22.

The IMO -based club, nicknamed The Pride of Imo, is ready to write a new chapter in its history, taking its first bold step in the Nigerian Elite Football League. Speaking after the official launch of the matches, the president/CEO of the club, Michael Chukwudi Amaefulefulle, said optimism and pride in the preparation and mentality of the team in the new campaign.

“We are optimistic about this new season, our maiden, as we face Enugu Rangers in our first game,” Amaefule told the club’s media team. “The technical team and the players are working hard, and we believe that we can take advantage of the impulse of last season in the NNL to achieve even greater success in the NPFL.”

Kun Khalifat FC obtained the promotion of the National League of Nigeria (NNL) in what fans described as a fairy tale career, showing tactical discipline, resistance and attack style. With its NPFL debut now only a few weeks away, the club says that it not only comes to participate, but to compete.

“The club’s mentality focuses on achieving dreams hungry, clarity of purpose and an intrepid ambition that distinguishes us from our opponents,” Amaefule added.

According to reports, the preparation of the club has included intensive preseason training, recruitment of objective players and a strategic review of their football operations. The sources within the club say that management has also prioritized the development of infrastructure and youth exploration as part of a long -term growth strategy.

AMAEFULE concluded with a fans meeting call:

“We are well prepared for this historical milestone, and we charge our fans full of all the world to provide us with even stronger support, since we thank you for their tributary of love and solidarity.”

With high expectations and an intrepid perspective, Kun Khalifat FC’s clash with Rangers International will not only be a baptism of fire, but it could also be the beginning of something special in Nigerian football.
