Popular Fuji musician, King Wasiuu Ayinde Marshal, is also known as Kwam 1 has apologized for his violent behavior against ValueJet staff and crew at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Tuesday.
His apology will come in the midst of a strong reaction that has trailed his actions from the Federal and Nigerian governments on social media.
In a personal statement signed by him, he apologized but denied carrying alcohol in a pumpkin, but only water.
Listen to him: “The events that occurred at the local wing of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on August 5, 2025, which involved me who was humble and my airline, for at least, was not profitable.
“It is not known by many people, I suffer from chronic dehydration, and my doctor strongly suggested that I keep being hydrated.

“For the record, I passed two safety screenings with empty pumpkin. The pumpkin was only filled with water in the lounge area, right before heading to the runway. This fact can be verified by CCTV footage at the airport lounge. Moreover, I haven’t even boarded a plane, let alone debate.
“However, I acknowledge and very regret concern that arises from the incident. I never intended to cause interference or violate flight protocols in any way.
“My unwavering patriotism and unwavering loyalty to the Federal Republic of Nigeria have never been doubted. For years, I consistently use the talents and platforms given by God to promote the Nigerian brand around the world. This.
“Which says, the incident was sincerely regretted. I remained committed to upholding values and responsibilities that came by becoming a global ambassador for Nigeria music and culture.
“To the presidence, the Ministry of Aviation, Faan, NCAA, ValueJet, my fellow Nigerians, and my fans who are attentive throughout the world who have shown great concern since the incident occurred, I submitted my apology that was not realized and sincere.”
