The State Police Command Gombe said that he had achieved “significant operational breakthroughs” in a series of coordinated attacks, which led to the arrest of alleged rape, armed robbery, vandalism, and theft of railroad materials – together with the restoration of critical infrastructure.
DSP Command Spokesman Buhari Abdullahi, in a statement on Tuesday said the operation occurred between 9 and 11 August in Funakaye, Deba Yamaltu, Kwami, and Gombe LGA.
On August 10, the police in Bajoga intercepted 18 pieces of iron pipes, electric cables, and railroad bolts hidden in a bag in Ashaka Cement Motor Park, Funakaye LGA.
“Initial investigations revealed that the iron pipe owned by the Ashaka Semen Ashaka company, while the cable and bolts were allegedly damaged along Jalan Bajoga -Jalingo,” Abdullahi said. The suspect escaped before the arrival of the police, but “efforts are ongoing to track and arrest the suspect who escaped.”
The day before, on August 9, the operators in Kwadon caught Hassan Aminu Sadiq who was 18 years old from the place of Yelwa, Kwadon, with a roll of dry leaves suspected of Indian hemp.
“During the interrogation, the suspect claimed to be involvement in two separate armed robbery cases that are currently delayed before the High Court, Gombe,” said Abdullahi. This case has been transferred to an anti-violence forces for further investigation.

In Zambuk, Yamaltu Deba Lga, the police arrested Mohammed Tukur from the 55 -year -old Sabon Gari Village on charges of raping a 12 -year -old girl, Zulei Malam Dahiru.
“The police visited the scene, escaped the victim to the Zambuk General Hospital for a medical examination, and arrested the suspect. The order strongly condemned all forms of sexual violence and urged residents to immediately report cases for quick actions,” Abdullahi said.
On August 11, the Gona Division Patrol Team intercepted three suspects – Haruna Aliyu, 20; Adamu Aliyu, 20; and Umar Ibrahim, 18-with 19 train steel sandals at the Toyota van pick-up at Nassarawo Quarters, Gombe.
“After being interrogated, the suspects claimed to be removing goods from the railroad tracks in Nassarawo,” PPRO said.
Follow-up investigations caused the arrest of the four other-Amir Muhammad, 25; Mubarak Garba, 25; Yusuf Umar, 25; and Sadiq Saidu, 23 – as a suspected recipient of stolen material. All exhibitions have been documented, and this case is now with the State Criminal Investigation Department for prosecution.
Praising his officers, Police Commissioner Bello Yahaya reiterated the commitment of orders to protect life, property, and public infrastructure.
“We will not succumb in our efforts to get rid of the Gombe Criminal Program. We urge community members to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to the nearest police station,” Yahaya said.
