The Nigerian midfielder Kelechi Nwakali is coming out of Barnsley, confirmed the head of the coach Conor Horihane.
The 26 -year -old did not appear for the League team since he returned late from holidays in Nigeria, a move that saw him fall from the training of the first team. Since then he has lost games against Plymouth Argyle, Burton Albion, Fleetwood Town and Bolton Wanderers.
Horihane, speaking of the situation, clarified that the club is ready to let the former Golden Eaglets star goes away before the transfer window closes.
“Obviously there are a couple of weeks to go to the window. Let’s see where it takes us,” said the coach. When it was pressed further, he added: “Yes, this is the plan”.
Nwakali’s career has been afflicted by disciplinary issues in the past, including his controversial exit from the Spanish team Hueca.
