The secretary of the government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, reiterated the commitment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to improve the well -being of the Niger delta region.
Speaking when he received a delegation from the forum of the leaders of the young people of the ethnic nationality of the Niger delta, led by its president and president of the Ijaw youth board all over the world, Sir Jonathan Lokpobiri, the SGF said that the Tinubu administration is ready to face some of the challenges that are facing the Region.

He highlighted some of the president’s efforts in facing some of the challenges that face the Region through the institution of the University of Environmental Technology in Ogoniland to face the regional and national ecological challenges.
He said the president also appointed key sons and daughters of the Niger delta in the key positions of the federal government.
The SGF recognized the subsequent attempts made by the leaders passed to face some of the challenges that had to face the region that led to the establishment of the Ministry of Niger Delta, the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and the Amnestia program among others.
He said that the Tinubu administration is doing everything possible to revive its indigenous refineries for the country’s economic development.
The SGF praised the forum of the leaders of young people of the young people of the ethnic nationality of the Niger delta for its solidarity to mobilize its people from the base for the re -election of President Tinubu, underlining that the division into areas and the rotation of power are essential in the nation policy, which aims to promote national unity, stability and a sense of belonging between different Ethnic and regional groups.
Speaking previously, the president of Niger Delta Ethnic Nationalits Leaders Forum and the president of the Ijaw Youth Council all over the world, Sir Jonathan Lokpobiri, thanked President Tinubu for his timely intervention by snorting in the sprout of the festive crisis in the state of sparrows and bringing peace and stability.
He said the forum is grateful to the federal government for having enhanced young people from the extraction of the Niger delta through the Amnestia program.
He said that the Niger delta region would be mobilized for the re -election of President Tinubu to continue with the renewed agenda of hope in renewing the economy of the nation for sustainable development.
