Thousands of Hands More than 128 Save Zamfara Hostage

National security advisers, Nuhu thousand, on Tuesday vowed that the federal government would maintain attacks on terrorists and kidnappers until they were truly defeated.

NSA gave a guarantee in Abuja when he handed over 128 people who were saved from the kidnapper in Kaura Namoda, Zamfara’s local government area to the state government.

He said: “There will be no concession in our operation. There will be no safe place for those who terrorize our citizens. We will hunt, find, and bring them to court.”

Thousands describe the latest rescue as a victory for the people of Nigeria and a major blow to a terror network that seeks to damage peace in the country.

He praised the armed forces, police, intelligence agencies, and other operators to do work well against criminals.

“Your commitment is proof of our new national security strategy,” he said.

Thousands also warned not to politicize the situation of the victims, said the pain of the victims should not be changed into a tool for partisan profits.

He urged religious and political leaders, civil society, and the influence of society to rise in the division and work together in the spirit of unity and affection.

Previously, the National Coordinator, the National Counter Terrorism Center (NCTC), Major. Adamu Laka, said the victims were saved in two batchs after coordinated security operations.

He added that the first batch was rescued on August 14, consisting of 42 people – 40 men, seven women and toddlers, while the second batch, was rescued on August 19, consisting of 34 men and 54 women.
