Dateteline Abuja, Thursday 21 August 2025. The event was the meeting/workshop of Amalgamated Union of Public Health Corporations, technical employee and recreational services (APCCTRE). And with the theme “Aupcre as a commercial union; surviving in strong competition”.

The headquarters was the service commission of the councils of Area, Area 3, Abuja.

It was a gathering of veterans of the Union and leader of the work including the national president, the companion of Aupcre Benjamin Anthony.
The acting. General Secretary, AuPCTRE Lawrence I. ALO companion. Others were the FCT controller and the Zonal Director (North Central Zone),
Federal ministry of work and employment, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Olugbami.

All members of the National Coordination Committee (NCC) in FCT
All the presidents and secretaries of FCT Abuja Branches

Members of the FCT women’s committee
Some veterans of the Union.

The Council of Government of the State (SGC) of AUPCTRE has approved on issues of interest for its members, the union, the Nigerian workers and the nation in general.

Among the questions discussed there was the insincerity of the federal government for negotiations and the implementation of the new minimum wage.

According to the meeting, federal workers reported only an insignificant sum of forty thousand (N40.000) at a fixed rate as a minimum wage have been paid. The question about each worker’s mind is what happened to wage relativity

More worrying, according to APCCTRE, is the decrease of a peculiar allowance within the MDA and the non -completion of the payment of the N35,000.00 wage premium agreed between the organized work and the federal government before the start of deception.

Sgc-in-session, then invited the federal government to keep his promises as Nigeria’s workers suffer seriously.

The question of the jurisdictional scope in that it affects Aupcre has become very worrying considering the bad interpretation given by some government agencies and union of other sisters.
The SGC-in-session has therefore sensitized its members on the rights of workers to voluntarily belong to any union of their choice for the protection of their rights without being forced in line with the 2005 trade Union EMENNE ACT.

The right of workers to belong to the commercial union of their choice is also guaranteed pursuant to section 40 of the Constitution, the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended)

The SGC-in-session has therefore condemned in the totality of the “punitive transfer placed on our members who are workers of the CAC. However, the SGC-in-session has been informed that some managers and members have been transferred to the abuja headquarters but fifteen (15) members and managers are still in a punitive transfer to different states.”

The SGC-in-session therefore invited the national president, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), his partner Joe Ajaero, to accelerate the actions since the question was arrested by the NLC. The SGC-in-session also invites Registrar General and the management of the CAC to reverse the punitive transfer placed on the trade union leaders and also allow workers to voluntarily belong to the union of their choice.

The SGC-in-session also frowns the eyebrows on interference on the membership of the Union by some members of the management staff of the Federal Housing Authority (FHA). “It has been reported that some staff members and others are forcing the staff by choosing which union belongs to their desire”.

The SGC-in-session is therefore disapproved on this development and has solved the fact that the management should be committed to having a free resentment work environment.

The SGC-in-session also claimed to be disturbed for unresolved issues at the Nigeria Commodity Exchange (NCX)
“It has been reported that the CEO, Mr. Anthony ATUCHE, who was dragged by the Union to the Ministry of Commerce and Supervision Investments to solve persistent problems did not consider it appropriate to implement the resolution achieved with him during the meeting from 7 November, 2024. It is also the non-implementation. rules of public service and administrative policy.

The SGC-in-session has solved that the letters should be written to the head of the staff to the President, to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, to the Minister Honorable and Permanent Secretary for Commerce and Investments and other Government Agencies relevant to the other to restore mental health in NCX.

In his welcome address, the AUPCTRE FCT president
Comr (Dr.) Aliyu Maradun urged the participants to deliberate on issues of interest for its members, the union, the Nigerian workers and the nation in general.

He also urged them to deliberately on the socio-economic and political challenges that affect the union, the Nigerian workers, the oppressed masses and the Nigerian nation in general.

Maradun said all the hands must be on the bridge to ensure that “our members are supported”.

He promised for a continuous and timely conduct of a seminar for construction capacity for members and veterans SGC

He has promised that the leadership of the Union will continue in their efforts during training, awareness and maintenance until all AUPCTRE members are well informed.

The over 200 participants who include branches and branches of branches have praised the leadership of the FCT Union for its incessant efforts in the struggle for the rights of its members.
