The Algerian president Abdelmadjid Tebboune interrupted the appointment of Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui.

The president, Thursday 28 August 2025, also appointed the Minister of the SIFI GIRIB sector as head of government.

Larbaoui, former diplomat, was appointed prime minister in 2023 by Tebboune.
