President Bola Ahmed Tinubu directed the call of Salihu Abdullahi dembos as general manager of the Nigerian television authority (NTA) and Ayo Adwuyi as executive director of the news.
The president Tinubu had on August 20, 2025 appointed Rotimi Pedro to replace Dembos and Stella Din in the pause of Adwuyi.
However, in a statement on Tuesday by the President’s Special Consultant for information and strategies, Bayo Onanuga, the new appointments have been canceled.
ONANUGA said that Dembos was recalled after “leaving the place briefly free following some changes in management in the agency”.
Dembos was appointed DG of the television network by President Tinubu in October 2023.
Now he will return to complete his three -year mandate.
Onanoga said that the president has directed the appeal of Adwuyi in the same way to complete his three -year mandate, which ends in 2027.
He was appointed by President Tinubu in 2024.
ONANUGA added to the declaration: “The new directive has actually reversed the previously announced appointments of a general manager, executive director of the news, executive director of the marketing and CEO of NTA Enterprises.
