The troops killed 15 terrorist suspects in Katsina

The Nigerian army has killed 15 terrorist suspects in the state of Katsina.

They also arrested 13 suspects in Kaduna in operations carried out between Friday and Saturday.

A source at the Army headquarters revealed this to journalists on Saturday in Abuja.

The source said that air and land strikes were carried out on Zango land in the Kankara Regional Government in the state of Katsina, where troops destroyed terrorist hiding places.

He said the troops also found weapons from armed shepherd in the state of Benue.

“In Kaduna Metropolis, 1 Garrison Division troops arrested 13 suspects with drugs in the operation together with police and other institutions, raiding black spots on the sin of Unguwan, Unguwan Yero, Kwaru, and Majalisa regions.

“In the Sokoto state, troops thwart terrorist activities in Sabon Birni and Wurno Lgas, saving a driver and his vehicle.

“However, four terrorist suspects were hung by local residents in Kaura Village, while the other three were saved and handed over to the police.

“Two suspected terrorist informants were also arrested in the Gudu Regional Government.

“The Wirel Stroke Operations forces killed an armed shepherd during the permit operation, in the Benue Regional Government area logo.

“They recovered AK-47 rifles, 19 Special Ammunition rounds 7.62mm, and other items from terrorists.”
