Bafana Bafana de South Africa attacking midfielder Mohau Nkota has admitted that playing against Nigeria’s Super Eagles is never easy.
Bafana, who beat Lesotho 3-0 at the Free state stadium on Friday, enters the clash at the top of group C with 16 points of seven games and has impulse after four successive victories over Benin and Zimbabwe.
Benin is in second place with 11 points, closely followed by the Super Eagles (10), who renewed his ambitions with a hard 1-0 victory over Rwanda at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Saturday night.
Thr Super Eagles will arrive in highly motivated South Africa, knowing that a victory in Bloemfontein will bring them within three points of Bafana.
The possibilities of the Super Eagles to properly restore their possibilities to reach the first 48 -teams World Cup in Mexico, Canada and the United States rest in defeating Bafana, who are online to have three points docked by the inevable Teboho Mokoena in his victory against Lesotho in Polokwane in March.
A victory for Bafana would put them in 19 points with a great advantage, even if they have docked points, for a first World Cup qualification since 2002 apart from the hosts in 2010.
A draw would preserve the six -point advantage over the super eagles and also leave South Africa sitting beautiful.
Despite knowing how difficult it is for Bafana against Super Eagles, Nkota trusts that they can obtain a positive result.
“We just have to continue where we leave it against Lesotho. We must do everything possible for the three points to open the gap at the top and if we do not get the victory, we will take a draw and move on,” Wss quoted on Lives Times.
“We did what we had to do against Lesotho and that has approached us to realize our dream of going to the World Cup.”
Nkota opened the scoring against Lesotho. The youth product of Orlando Pirates who joined Al-Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia in July is happy to contribute every time coach Hugo Broos calls it.
“Every time I am selected, I have the responsibility to leave and do my job and that is to contribute to the team.”
The other player who found the background of the network against Lesotho was Oswin Apollis.
Signed with Pirates in July in large part to cover the loss of Nkota, the former Pollkwane City end awaits a difficult game of motivated super eagles.
“It will be a difficult but exciting game against Nigeria because they have many quality players on their team. We are ready for the fight.
“It is never easy against them because they are a talented team and we will be ready on Tuesday. It’s about teamwork, if we work together as a team, we can succeed against them.”
