The Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation has constituted an interim committee to oversee the organization of beach football and futsal championships in the country.
This was part of the decision reached at the Executive Committee meeting held on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at the Best Western Plus Hotel, Asaba, Delta State.
According to a statement released after the meeting, the board consists of Mr. Mahmud Hadejia (Chairman); Mr. Dele Gbajumo (member); Hon Nkopuye Ukpe (Member); Mr Abdul-Nasir Adamu Senchi (Member).
Other members are; Prof. Victor Madubuiko (member); Alhaji. Mohammed Bukar Alau (member); Miss Onome Ebi (Member) and Mr Saraki Rasheed Oladimeji will serve as the Chief Executive Officer, while the Chief Operating Officer will be appointed by the Secretary-General.
The Committee also expressed deep appreciation to the Federal Government, through the National Government Sport Commission, for the special intervention fund for the Nigeria Premier Football League to strengthen the league’s profile, increase its commercial value and build a robust football economy for Nigeria.
While noting Government’s promise to extend similar intervention to the Nigeria Women Football League, the Committee made an impassioned appeal to Government, through the NSC, to also extend support to the Nigeria National League (NNL) and Nigeria Nation-Wide League One (NLO).
