When interviewing Nigerian traders in Ghana, a Nigerian businessman noted that Ghana people wanted Nigerians to focus on retail, leaving wholesale aspects of them.

IGBO traders said that while they realized that they were owing a lot to traders who rely on their own capital to run their business, he also revealed that the Ghana people had demanded $ 2 million from them to allow them to become retailers in Ghana.

When asked by activists why Nigerians sell goods at lower prices compared to their Ghana colleagues, the man explained that it was impossible to do it without covering up costs. He mentioned that there was a border that had to be crossed, and they had to pay their goods to enter the country. They also pay taxes in Ghana, so they are not feasible to run a business with losses.

VDM then discusses the problem of promiscuity among Nigerians. Speaking to other IGBO traders, he asked whether it was true that the Nigerians were the most free in Ghana. The man denied the claim, stating that both Nigerians and Ghana visited girls for pleasure. When asked by VDM to survey those who gathered, most men raised their hands agreed.
