Minister of Women’s Affairs said that workers’ protests increased their popularity

Minister of Women’s Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, said he did not have hatred of his ministry staff who carried out the protest earlier this week, noting that the incident actually increased his public visibility.

Sulaiman-Ibrahim made a statement on Friday during the City Hall meeting with staff at the National Women’s Development Center, two days after ministry workers locked it out of the place in Abuja. The protesters, who sing solidarity songs, demand a better improvement in welfare and working conditions, and also call for the transfer from the office.

Overcoming this concern, the Minister stated that he viewed development as part of the challenges of political positions, emphasizing that he had experienced a crisis before and was not nervous about the demonstration. He argues that protests have attracted more attention to his work and service.

“I am not upset with anyone. As a politician, scandal and a familiar crisis. In fact, this situation has made me more popular, because many people who don’t know me before now knowing my job. More positive things come out of this than negative,” he said.

He convinced the staff that efforts were being made to overcome the welfare problem raised, noting that the secretary had continued to give him direction and that his office had tried to find a creative solution. While emphasizing that he did not want to maintain his position, the Minister stated that he had done his best in line with the new hope of the new hope of the Tinubu Bola Bola for women.

Sulaiman-Ibrahim also appealed to workers to honor authority and uphold the institutional structure, urged them to remain committed to advancing administrative objectives.
