Asnat plans 2nd exhibitions, promises to promote local production

The association of Nigerian artisans and technicians (Asnat) reiterated its readiness to enhance Nigerian craftsmen and technicians, guide economic growth and promote local production.

The national coordinator of the Association, Consideh Akinyemi, made the disclosure to Abuja during an official presentation of the 2nd edition of the artisan and techniques Nigerian exhibitions and Fier (Natef) Tuesday.

Akinyemi, who was crogging in the euphoria of the 1st edition of the event, observed that the work exhibition was designed to stimulate economic growth by promoting local production and processing activities by supporting artisans and technicians at national level.

“We foresee Natef as an annual tourist event, attracting international visitors to attend the exceptional skills of the Nigerian craftsmen.

“We urge all interested parties, including government governors and legislators, to support Natef by sponsoring local craftsmen and technicians in their states,” he said.

Akinyemi therefore asked for a partnership between the association and individuals, business organizations, NGOs and international agencies.

Even the duo of his partner Bari Moses and Mrs. Jaiyeola Onipede Olatunji, the National Secretary of the Association and the President of the National Lady/Loc Natef 2025 spoke.

In his words, Moses urged the support to artisans, underlining that the platform provides them with a way to contribute more to the country’s gross domestic product (GDP).

For Olaunji, he particularly encouraged the participation by women, stating that the association has encouraged more training courses as a way to break the barriers, especially in non -domicated vocations.
