The Lagos State Police Command has cleaned the Senior House on the Rock Church priest, Father Paul Adefarasin, from accusations using weapons.
A video appeared online in June which shows Adefarasin allegedly holding what seems to be a gun in traffic.
The video caused a reaction on social media, with some demanding prosecution of priests for using firearms in public.
However, Adefarasin denied the accusation and insisted that the object was not a weapon.
The order in a statement issued on Wednesday by his spokesman, Abimbola Adebisi, cleaned the scholars of the accusation.
He said the priest voluntarily surrendered himself at the command headquarters in Ikeja to overcome this problem.
