Ogun II Customs Boss meets the interested parties, looking for a stronger synergy in commercial facilitation

The new controller of the customs area of ​​the Ogun II command, the controller Olushola Olukemi Akingbade, met traders and stakeholders of excise duties in free trade areas, asking for a deeper cooperation to increase the generation of revenue and guarantee a facilitation of trade without continuity.

The meetings have marked his official inaugural commitment with the operators within the command, including representatives of the Nigerian Export Processing Zone Authority (Nepza).

Giving himself to the interested parties, the Akingbade controller praised them for cooperation extended to his predecessor and urged them to support the partnership under his guide. He assured that his administration would manage a policy with open doors.

“My leadership will continue to provide a platform for dialogue. Our doors remain open to share your challenges and we will work together to offer solutions that promote both commercial facilitation and revenue growth,” said Akingbade.

The controller underlined the commitment of the command in strengthening synergy with operators in excise duties and free trade areas, underlining that this collaboration was the key to achieving the tax goals of the federal government.

In their answers, the interested parties welcomed his appointment, describing his style of leadership as one that embodies the “maternal care” and equity.

They promised full cooperation and support to the new controller, promising to work closely with the command to achieve the set goals.

The interested parties also expressed optimism that his mandate would have further consolidated the earnings recorded under the previous administration, in particular in the commercial facilitation and commitment of the interested parties.

The command of the Ogun II area supervises excise duties, the terminals related and the free trade areas, playing a strategic role in customs operations in the south-west.
