A tragic death of a male passenger occurred on Sunday aboard an Ibom air flight from Lagos to Abuja.
The accident highlighted the concerns on medical emergencies in flight in Nigeria.
According to a CKN News report, the passenger hurt just 20 minutes after take -off.
The crew members attempted to administer the emergency room before the pilot transmitted the control tower to Nnamdi Azikiwe, Abuja international airport to declare a medical emergency.
Due to the strong air traffic at the airport, the flight was finally canceled to land in the presidential wing, where ambulances and medical staff were waiting.
However, despite the immediate answer, attempts to revive the passenger on arrival have not been successful.
The death, which has since aroused reactions on social media, has raised new concerns about the preparation of Ibom Air and other airlines to manage medical crises in the air.
