President Bola Ahmed Tinubu approved the renewal of the appointment of the president and the appointment of new members of investments and court securities (IST).
The decision, according to the Court, followed the recommendations of the Minister of Finance and the Minister coordinated for the economy, Wale Edun, in line with the sections 315 and 319 (2) of investments and the Securities Act 2025.
A declaration issued by the Department of Acting of the Department of Business Affairs of the Ist, Maria Anoder, said that the development represented a great impulse to the system of judgment of the capital market.
“The appointment marks a significant step towards the strengthening of the judicial framework of the Nigerian capital market, since the new members bring their rich experience in the capital market, in the law, in finance and public service to improve the efficiency of the court in the delivery of justice and in the promotion of the trust of investors”, reads the declaration.

Those appointed are: Amos Isaac azi Esq., President; Gboyega Oyekanmi, member; Felix Onwuneme, member; Shehu Lawal Mandiya, member; Robert Uchenna Okwuego, member; Osaze Ize – Iyamu, member; Ummahani Ahmad Amin, member; Ali Sadiq Mohammed, member; Olaunte M. AMOLEGBE, Member; Udegbulam athanatius chukwuemeka, member; Orya Ungwaga Roberts, member; and Kamarudee Oladosu, member.
The new court should be inaugurated on Tuesday. Anoder explained that the IST was created as a specialized res judiciary to guarantee the timely resolution of disputes and the application of the rights deriving from investments and transactions in securities.
“It is an infrastructure of the very critical capital market that serves to guarantee equity, transparency and integrity in our financial market, thus promoting the trust of investors,” he said.
