The presidency rejected the speculations of the former governor of the State of Kaduna, Nasir El-Romai, suggesting that President Bola Tinubu plans to remain in power indefinitely.
El-Rufai had recently stated that Tinubu intends to become a “president of life” after the 2027 elections.
In a statement at the end of Sunday, the president’s special councilor for information and strategy, Bayo Onanuga, who described President Tinubu as a democratic, said that El-Ruphai appeared upset by the massive support that the president continues to enjoy, in particular in the North.
Describing the statement as unfounded and unfounded, ONANUGA has ensured to the Nigerians that President Tinubu has no plan to govern the country beyond 2031.
The declaration stated: “The former governor of the State of Kaduna, Nasir El-Romai, seems to need help, above all given his recent unfounded statements and speculations on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. It is increasingly evident that El-Rufai has recognized the futility of attempts by his associates in his new party to prevent the probability of President Tinubu.

“President Tinubu is a Democrat who does not intend to remain in office beyond May 28, 2031, when he re -elected in 2027.
“The Governor UBA Sani may want to reach his predecessor, since El-Romai could benefit from professional advice to remove him from his recent hallucinations and political buildings on Tinubu and 2027.”
