Theme of FG Disvers, activity program for the 2025 anniversary of independence – Thage

The Federal Government has announced the official issue for the 65th anniversary of the independence of Nigeria, tagged: “Nigeria @ 65: all the hands on the bridge for a larger nation”.

Segun Imohiosen, director of information and public relations at the office of the secretary of the Federation of the Federation (SGF), said that the theme reflects the need for unity, collaboration and patriotism between government, private sector, civil society and citizens to build a nation defined for peace, prosperity and progress.

Imohiosen observed that from the independence of 1 October 1960, Nigeria has sailed several challenges during the recording of significant progress in different sectors of the economy.

He said this makes it indispensable for all Nigerians to consolidate earnings and collectively pursue greater national aspirations in line with the renewed agenda of hope.

“The government’s activities and programs are expected to align the official issue to ensure that the message resonates on all aspects of our national life,” he added.

As part of the activities lined up for the anniversary, a Juma’at prayer will hold on Friday 26 September at 13:00, while an inter-denomination church service is scheduled for Sunday 28 September at 10.

A world press conference will follow on Monday 29 September at 10 am.
