Akor presents a great case for the first Super Eagles call

Today, Jerome Akor presented a great case for his first call to the Super Eagles when he left the bank to snatch the winner of Seville in Rayo Vallecano in the league.

He shot home from inside the box with only three remaining minutes on the clock.

This was also his first goal from the League since his arrival in January.

His recent fine after fighting the injuries since he came from the French club Montpellier could now be rewarded with a call for the Super Eagles for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin next month.

As he first reported by Scorenigeria, Akor is one of the three strikers that is considered by coach Eric Chelle to replace Cyriel Dessers, who did not impress earlier this month in another round of World Cup qualifiers.
