Exclusive: Chelle picks ten Nigeria U23 players for friendly with Russia

Nigeria senior national team coach Eric Chelle has picked ten players to form part of his under-23 team in the squad that will play Russia in a friendly match on October 6, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

Nigeria will participate in the AFCON 2027 qualifiers by opening their campaign at home against Madagascar on the 25th, before traveling to meet Guinea-Bissau in Morocco four days later.

Chelle will play the AFCON qualifiers with his regulars, but for the match against Russia he will take the opportunity to test some players who will be part of the team for the Olympic qualifiers in Los Angeles.

According to our impeccable sources, we have a list of ten players who received an official invitation letter for the match against Russia, but will not be part of the squad for the AFCON qualifiers.
