Garba says that the Eagles will improve, before clash with baby stallions

Less than 24 hours to the clash between the golden eagles of Nigeria and the Burkina Faso baby stallions in the Wafu B U17 championship in Yamoussoukro, Cote D ‘Ivoire, Chief coach Manu Garba says he is optimistic that the world champions five times will publish another favorable exit.

The Eaglets Tutored Garba were in an excellent way by scoring four goals within 35 minutes of the game to defeat the Cheetahs of Benin Republic 4-1 on Wednesday, and the highly experienced Gffter has said that his team, like any other team in the tournament, wants to win each game.

“Each team wants to win each game in a competitive tournament, and also does Nigeria. We want to try as much as possible to win each game in this competition and win each game, we will be WAFU-B champions again because that is where my team belongs,” Garba said during the press conference on Friday, before Saturday’s game.

“We are here to play each game according to the laws of the game, but most importantly, we want to try as much as possible to win the game against Burkina Faso,” he added.

He praised the efforts of his young players against Benin Republic, noting that none of the players was in the latest edition of the tournament in Ghana. “My boys did very well against the Republic of Benin. I said that that was their first international game. Most of these boys have never entered an plane before coming to Ghana here. This is a new team. None of these boys presented the last time we played in the Wafu B U17 championship in Ghana.

“As the tournament progresses, they will improve. In our last game, against Beninoise, my captain was in the chest, so I had to take it out. He has recovered completely now. I am very optimistic that this team will improve,” he concluded.

The game is scheduled for the 4 PM of Nigeria at Stade Lycee Scientifique in Yamoussoukro.
