Tinubu mourning Aris TV Anchor was killed in Abuja Robbery, Swift Probe Orders

President Tinubu Ball has expressed deep sadness over the murder of Ms. Somtochukwu Haduagwu, a 29 -year -old news carrier with Arise television, who was killed during a robbery attack on his residence in Katampe, Abuja.

In a statement issued on Tuesday by a special advisor about information and strategies, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, the President expressed his condolences to the Haduagwu family, Arise News management and staff, and the wider Nigerian media community.

Tinubu described the deceased journalist as “a promising professional whose life was cut in a cruel and cursed way,” and called for urgent actions from security institutions.

He directed the law enforcement authority to conduct a “quick and comprehensive investigation” of the incident, with a view to arresting the perpetrators and ensuring justice was served without delay.

The President further reiterated the commitment of his government to protect life and property, promised to intensify efforts to curb violence crimes throughout the country.

Haduagwu was killed in early Monday during the armed robbery. Nigerian police have launched an investigation of the incident.
