Oyeleke, Akogun and others get appointment in Archery Federation

On Tuesday, February 17, 2026, the Board of the Nigerian Archery Federation appointed seven members of the federation as Administrative Officers.

Among those appointed are: Emmanuel Oyeleke, captain of Nigeria Archery and founder of Zen Archery club in Lagos, who will serve as Director of Marketing and Akogun A. Abimbola, founder of Akogaa Archery Academy in Benin City, as Director of Grassroots Development.

Others are: Aisha Oladapo, Deputy Director of Marketing, Kachollom Enyenihi, Director of Women Development,
Oladapo Olasehinde, Director of Strategy and ICT,
Abdujalal Mohammed, ICT director, while AbdulBasit A. Sanni will head the social media department.

In a statement signed by the Secretary-General, Mr. Phillips O. Ayo, the newly appointed officers were urged to remain steadfast in the performance of their selfless services to humanity and in particular to the sport of archery in Nigeria and beyond.

Reacting to his appointment, Akogun expressed excitement about his new role and promised to bring young talents into the sport at the national level as he is currently doing at the Akogaa Archery Academy in Edo State.

Furthermore, members of Akogaa Archery Nigeria thanked the Federation for finding their President worthy to serve. Also, the Vice President of Edo State Archery Association and Nigeria South-South Archery Connect commended the appointment.
