A gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State and Visionary Leader of the Lagos4Lagos Movement, Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has expressed his desire for the Badagry region of the state to produce the next governor of the state.
Jandor spoke on Saturday on the sidelines of the 8th Annual Ramadan Lecture held in Ikeja, the state capital.
He observed that no one from the Badagry Division of Lagos State had ever served as governor, and he expressed optimism that the aspirations of the people of the division could eventually be realized.
He emphasized himself by promising to prioritize the welfare of citizens if elected governor in 2027.
Jandor, who contested the 2023 gubernatorial election under the banner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), now aspires to hoist the flag of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027.

He said the government’s fundamental responsibility is to improve the welfare of citizens, and added that his administration would take deliberate steps to improve citizens’ living conditions if given the mandate.
According to him, the government should focus on creating an environment that supports economic growth rather than running businesses directly. He noted that his government will overcome existing economic difficulties through strategic investments in infrastructure, education, health services and other important sectors.
The gubernatorial aspirant also reflected the resilience of members of the Lagos4Lagos Movement, stating that the group has remained united for almost a decade despite challenges following the 2023 general elections.
“We don’t start today. In 2023 they think I will ask them to go home because of what happened after the election. We believe 2023 is a test from God for us. I don’t ask anyone to go home, and we still meet at Liberty House,” he said.
