Suspected bandits killed three people in Katsina community

Gunmen suspected to be bandits on Tuesday killed three people in Kalaumashi town, Musawa Local Government Area of ​​Katsina State

The spokesperson of the state police command, Aliyu Abubakar, confirmed the attack in a statement on Wednesday in Katsina.

He said 11 other people were injured in the incident.

“On March 10, at 6.05pm, a distress call was received in Musawa Division suspecting dangerous armed bandits attacking Kalaumashi village, Musawa LGA.

“They injured 14 people before the arrival of security personnel.

Following up on the report, a joint team of security forces led by DPO Musawa immediately responded to the scene.

“The team was involved in a gun duel with the bandits, and succeeded in thwarting the attack.

“The injured victim was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment.

“Unfortunately, three of the injured victims were confirmed dead by the doctors on duty, while 11 people are still undergoing treatment,” said the spokesperson.
