Police recovered 2 stolen vehicles in Nasarawa

Police officers in Nasarawa have recovered two stolen vehicles in the state.

The vehicles found were a black Toyota Prado SUV with registration number YAB 81 KC (Abuja) and a Silver Pontiac Vibe car with registration number NBB-52 TT.

This was revealed by State Police Command Spokesperson Ramhan Nansel to journalists in Lafia, Wednesday.

He said: ” Police received an emergency call on Tuesday March 17, at around 4:26am that a black Toyota Prado SUV had been stolen in Abuja and was on its way to Lafia.

“On receipt of this information, the Commissioner of Police (CP), Nasarawa State Command, Shetima Mohammed, swiftly deployed operatives attached to ‘A’ Division, Lafia and reinforced with personnel from the Nasara Anti-Kidnapping and Operations Unit.

“The team managed to find the vehicle along the road near the Izallah Mosque in the Mararaba Akunza Lafia Area.

“A thorough search of the surrounding area has been carried out. However, the suspects have fled but efforts are ongoing to apprehend the fleeing suspects.”
