Peller Calls for Shank Comics Arrest for Traffic Accident During Live Stream

Popular TikToker Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, has urged the Nigeria Police Force and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to arrest fellow content creator Adesokan Adedeji Emmanuel, popularly known as Shank Comics, following a recent car accident during a live stream.

Shank Comics was seen in a viral video driving a Mercedes-Benz at high speed on a highway in Lagos in early 2026 before losing control and crashing. No serious injuries were reported.

The crash marks its second publicly known crash in about six months, following a similar crash in November 2025 that severely damaged another vehicle.

As of Saturday, there has been no official statement, arrest or vehicle seizure by authorities in connection with the incident.

Peller made his request during a livestream that attracted widespread attention online, arguing that authorities were applying different standards. He insisted that Shank Comics should face the same legal consequences he suffered following his accident last year.

In December 2025, Peller was arrested by the Lagos State Police Command after he drove recklessly and crashed his vehicle during a live broadcast along the Lekki-Epe expressway. Authorities at the time described his actions as dangerous and a threat to public safety. He was detained for around a week on charges of reckless driving and using a telephone while driving, with the FRSC indicating it intended to prosecute.

Mixed reactions from both authorities and the public have since sparked debate on social media, with critics alleging inconsistency in law enforcement and preferential treatment for celebrities.

While some users supported Peller’s call for accountability and urged the FRSC to take action, others dismissed his comments as an attempt to gain attention.

The Lagos State Police Command and the FRSC are yet to officially respond to the latest incident.
